The Vollrath Tavern had been around since 1926 and was re-opened not too long ago. Wii, pool tables, darts, beer pong, and soon to have an open kitchen.
This bar has history, too! When you enter the Vollrath it's like stepping back into time into an old LARGE "Chicago / Brooklyn style" neighborhood tavern as it was when John Dillinger used to frequent it.

affordable drink specials, plenty of ashtrays, nice floor, friendly bar staff, sheetza, random taco nights! woot!kitchen coming eventually! i wish more people knew about the vollrath.

j/k and all, I've had a good time whenever I've frequented the VR. A former speakeasy, with the architechure (sp?) to prove it. Not to mention pool, darts, wii, beerpong, and the cheap booze... theres really no good reason to not check out this place on a Tuesday to get acclaimated with the Mojo crew. (in the video I'm the dude in the tan polo button up thing getting doused with the silly string.... it really seems like they were going for me lolz)

Definitely a great local hang out bar...especially if you like close to Down Town, it's simple to get to, not in the greatest neighborhood, but it's fine. Brian the owner is a real chill guy, and it is definitely a friendly atmosphere. I'm speaking from a mojo standpoint and an Indiana Generals standpoint! Come out on saturday nights and hang out with some of the guys with my football team!!!

Honestly, this place will surprise you. From the outside, it looks a little beat up just because of the location and the oldness of the building, but the inside is VERY well done. Very roomy, not too loud, two pool tables, and even Wii when you want. Great hidden gem/hole in the wall kind of place!

Nice bar...has great potential to be a great bar...area isn't the best looking but awesome drink specials and lots to do (guitar hero, rockband, wii, pool tables, darts, tv's, live bands, kareoke, juke box, soon beer pong and an open kitchen...definitely should check it out!
